When and where is the conference?

GSCE will be held April 8-9 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It will share a location with the IMPACT, a green building conference hosted by USGBC communities.

What is the recommended attire?

Who attends GSCE?

Teachers, parents, students, school and district staff, educational leaders, building industry professionals, nonprofits and others passionate about the future of green schools

What is the Student Summit?

The Student Summit, “Sparking Up & Speaking Out: Revolutionizing Activism,” is hosted by the team at the Captain Planet Foundation.

It’s where students can hear from young leaders across media, business, music and government and learn the skills necessary to help inspire positive change in their local community. The summit will be held May 3 and is available only to students in grades 9-12.

Education & events

What will I learn at the conference?

At GSCE, our session tracks are focused around the three pillars of green schools: environmental impact, health impact, and environmental and sustainability literacy.

Past GSCE session topics include energy, outdoor learning, sustainability curriculum, collaboration, social equity, healthy environments and data and benchmarking.
